THC online shops tested: which shops really deliver to Germany?
Online shops selling new cannabinoid products to Germany are popping up everywhere right now. From THCA flowers and H4CBD vapes to edibles — the range is huge, the legal situation confusing. We tested the best-known shops and tell you where you can order safely and where you'd better keep your hands off.
New cannabinoids — what is still legal in Germany in 2026?
Before we talk about shops, you need to know the legal situation. Because what was freely available last year may already be banned today. The German legislator has tightened things up considerably in recent months.
Banned: HHC, THCP and 10-OH-HHC
The New Psychoactive Substances Act (NpSG) has cleaned up the market considerably:
- HHC (hexahydrocannabinol): banned since October 2024
- THCP (tetrahydrocannabiphorol): covered by the NpSG since June 2024
- 10-OH-HHC: banned since November 2025
Anyone who possesses or trades in these substances is committing a criminal offence. The Federal Ministry of Health also plans to add further substances such as THCB, THCH and THCJD. Δ8-THC, Δ10-THC and Δ11-THC are also to be explicitly covered (source: BMG).
Legal: THCA, H4CBD and CBD
Not everything is banned. These cannabinoids are legal as of April 2026:
- CBD: the classic. Not psychoactive, well researched, consistently legal.
- THCA: the non-psychoactive precursor of THC. Legal below 0.3% THC content — only becomes psychoactive THC when heated (decarboxylation).
- H4CBD: a hydrogenated form of CBD with a more intense effect. Not listed in the NpSG.
- CBG9: a stabilised form of cannabigerol, mild effect.
Grey area: substances under observation
Some cannabinoids are currently still legal but are being actively monitored by the BfArM (Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices): 9H-THC, 9H-HHC, T8HC, HHZ as well as T9HC, T11HC and HHX. The situation here can change at any time (source: HHC Friends).
Important: The legal situation for cannabinoids changes regularly. What is legal today may be banned tomorrow. Always check the current status before buying.
The shops tested
We took a close look at five of the best-known online shops. We assessed product quality, transparency, delivery to Germany, customer service and whether the shops comply with German law.
Cannapuff — the hype from the Czech Republic
Website: canapuff.com / canapuff.de
Origin: Czech Republic
Products: THCA flowers, vapes, edibles, H4CBD, hash
Cannapuff (also spelled Canapuff) is one of the best-known names in the European cannabinoid market. The shop is based in the Czech Republic and advertises more than 65,000 satisfied customers.
What's good:
- Huge product range, from vapes and edibles to hash
- 4 stars on Trustpilot from just under 2,900 reviews
- Often low prices compared with German shops
What's problematic:
- Cannapuff.de has only 2.7 stars — 83% of reviews are 1-star
- Reports of a chemical taste and lack of effect with some products
- According to several customers, refunds are refused or delayed
- Some customers doubt the authenticity of the lab analyses
- Import risk: as a Czech shop, deliveries to Germany are subject to customs law. Products can be confiscated
Our verdict: Large selection, but risky. Shipping from the Czech Republic is a legal grey area, and the fluctuations in quality are a real problem. If you order from Cannapuff, make sure to check for up-to-date lab analyses and don't order products containing banned cannabinoids to Germany (source: Trustpilot).
Happy420 — the German all-rounder
Website: happy-420.de
Origin: Germany
Products: CBD flowers, hash, vapes, oils, edibles, THCA
Happy420 has established itself as one of the most popular cannabis shops in Germany. The range extends from classic CBD flowers to newer cannabinoids.
What's good:
- German shop — no import problems
- Organically grown flowers with regular lab tests
- Fast delivery (often within 2 days)
- Transparent product information with CBD content, THC value and aroma
- Wide range for beginners and experienced users
What's problematic:
- Lab reports are not always directly viewable on the website
- Quality fluctuations with individual flower strains (e.g. lots of stems in Northern Lights according to customer reviews)
- According to customers, some 10-OH-HHC products (now banned) were ineffective and overpriced
Our verdict: A solid all-rounder with good value for money. A safe choice for beginners, as you're ordering within Germany and have no import risk. The missing lab reports on the website are a minus point, though (sources: CannaInsider, Trusted Shops).
Hempli — the THCA specialist
Website: hempli.de
Origin: Germany
Products: THCA flowers, premium products
Hempli has specialised entirely in THCA and positions itself as a premium supplier focused on quality and legality.
What's good:
- Clear focus on THCA — expertise rather than a jack-of-all-trades
- Lab-tested products with traceable analyses
- Informative blog on the legal situation (one of the best in the DACH region)
- Ships from Germany
What to bear in mind:
- Smaller range than all-rounder shops
- Premium prices — you can find cheaper elsewhere
- Still a relatively new shop, fewer customer reviews available
Our verdict: If you're specifically looking for THCA flowers and value quality and transparency, Hempli is a top choice. The higher prices are justified by the lab-verified quality (source: Hempli).
